Before I buy this machine, are there any owners that can comment on it's
performance?
All I have read seems positive, but would like some additional input.
I had my eye on the Technivorm KBTS, but this has a similarly excellent
reputation from what I have found...

Never heard of it. Do you have a link to where it can be found? Don't take
internet sellers' reviews too seriously. People tend to praise what they
have. If you find good reviews over a long time period from several
sources, go with it.
