Sorry, a bit more detail from me would have been better: I am restoring 3 old lever machines. I have bought from NR in the past, their minimum at that time was 100euro. Tallying up my wishlist, according to a NR price guide I will be spending about 500 euro. I have registered a cash sales acc at ascaso but not yet placed an order. I am in NZ, so postage will add another 100 euro to anything I buy anyway. Thanks for your comments Ken re the quality of ascaso parts. I was unaware of that. cheers Paul Ken Fox wrote: > <PLWillmottDalton@gmail.com> wrote in message > news:1153275169.748738.218240@m79g2000cwm.googlegroups.com... > > Has anyone shopped from both nuova ricambi and ascaso? The quality of Ascaso parts varies and for somethings you may want better knockoff parts, if that is what you seek. If you are located in the USA, consider espressoresource.com , the company owned by our friends Michael Teahan and Angelo Minicozzi. If you are in the business, you could qualify for a wholesale account, and in that case I doubt you would beat their landed USA prices in any event. Michael and Angelo are careful about the quality of the parts they buy, which (by report) often excludes Ascaso knockoff versions. ken p.s. their website is a work in progress; you will probably benefit from calling them directly at 1-818-786-7179

Have bought from Dom before and I highly rate his service but I would rather just cut out the middleman for a reasonable order (from NR). Would certainly go to him if I needed one or two bits. D. Ross wrote: >
