Subject: Possible variation-Vietnamese coffee?

I have been to several websites as well as read the posts within this NG re the recipes for making Vietnamese Iced coffee. I am interested in trying this, but as of this writing, I do not have one of the special filters needed to make it correctly. I read that some use Cafe Du Monde to make it because of the chicory. Do you think it would be about the same if I took and added the sweetened condensed milk at the bottom of a cup/glass, the filled with strong drip coffee, stir, and then add ice? Your thoughts are encouraged and appreciated. Thanks, Caesar
