Subject: Raising the Bar

I was out of the country on business for several weeks with no time to
visit alt.coffee

Upon, return I was dismayed at how much lower the 'tone' of the group
had sunk in just six short weeks.

I propose, therefore, that we cease ALL personal attacks. If a
personal attack is made in a post, then ignore that thread.

It is abundantly apparent that the verbos- and/or pompos- ity of some
posters antagonizes some readers, so the guilty can do much to
improve the experience here.

I hereby disclaim any knowledge of user 'martyminor11 . . ' I am in no
way responsible for his recent postings, etc,., whatsoever.

but for 2 of the most august users of this group to goad / respond to
'marty' in this way? IMHO, may not be the best idea.

moving toward a more polite ac group.
