Subject: Rebuilt my Procon today

6 weeks + from the factory so I bought the rebuild kit ($45) and did it
myself. Pretty straightforward. Here's how I did it (I'm sure it's much
easier if you know what you're doing):

Tools:
Rubber mallet
Screw driver
Snap ring pliers
Wrenches
Chisel (?)

1. Remove the nameplate o-ring. Tap the rotor shaft from the bearing side
to push out the nameplate, front bearing and rotor.
2. I could not remove the graphite liner and rear bearing so I ended of
chiseling them out. Be careful not to nick the housing.
3. Remove the seal hardware.
4. Remove the seal snap ring.
5. Push out bearing
6. Wash the housing thoroughly.
7. Reassemble using new parts (pretty much everything exept the rotor). I
pre-assembled the rotor, seal assembly, rear bearing and liner then slid
them into the housing (I used plumber's grease on the seal which really
helped). The bearings are brittle and the clearances very tight so be
patient.

There are some innacuracies in the iso. There are no longer slingers or
cartridge gaskets (pre '97 picture I believe). The relief assembly is also
different.
