How often should Rocky be disassembled and cleaned? I go through a pound every 10-12 days or so. But it seems to me that the TIMESPAN, not VOLUME, would be the important factor (that is, when the oil residues become rancid enough to affect the flavor). And I can't say that I've noticed the coffee tasting any different after cleaning it, anyway. Also, is Grindz really a viable substitute for disassembly and manual cleaning?

Yes, Grindz IS a great substitute BUT you need at least a can of 'compressed air', a bristle brush and a vacuum cleaner with a hose to do it right. Then wipe what you can get to with some 409 then with a damp rag. It'll look new again. once every 6 months or so? DAVe Saeco / Gaggia service SE

The stuff really works. Whether it is worth it is for you to decide. One scoop should do it for a grinder the size of Rocky. How often? If you can't tell the difference after a cleaning, then less often... ;-) Randy "..and it tastes good, too!" G. http://www.EspressoMyEspresso.com

How does it taste? A suggestion : Such pictures are much more useful if taken with the same lighting and position. It's not too tough. Thanx.
