I'm told some people missed my announcement on the original thread, so
I'm repeating it on a new one (O tempora, o mores).

Marshall keeps putting together a stronger and stronger event, and
this year Supreme Bean also joined in. My take is that the Home Coming
should attract a national, rather than just local, crowd; perhaps the
report will whet a few people's appetites.

A nice summary from Jim Schulman. Praise to Marshall Fuss for putting
together another super SCAA homecoming for cMembers. It just keeps
getting better year after year.

The Supreme Bean the following day was nirvana for espresso hounds who
were able to try out commercial espresso machines with the La Marzocco
GB/5 being extraordinary. So much so, that it is almost impossible to
pull a really bad shot with it. All the more reason for the hoop-a-la
of the forth coming La Marzocco GS/3 that seems to be the baby brother
of the GB/5.

Hi, Carl

It was good to see you again, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

You should post more often; I miss your precise observations.

Great recap of the weekend Jim! Only one correction...the showroom/lab
actually IS airconditioned...it just got it's butt kicked by the 100 f
degree heat outside and the 25+ people in the room at any given time
(all told about 50 visitors came by on Sunday.) It maybe time to think
about bumping on the tonnage on the AC unit...sorry!

Thanks to everyone who came by and special thanks to Marshall for
suggesting we scheduale our openhouse the Sunday following the
homecoming.

My only regret was that my attending at SCAA was undercut by a double
birthday party Saturday with the wife out of town. With the way
Marshall keeps besting his prior year's event...I have high hopes for
next year's homecoming.

Jeff,

It was terrific; thank you (and your co-conspirators) for a great time. I
did not sense any problem with the a/c, and unless you have large groups by
regularly in the summer heat, what you have now in the way of a/c is more
than adequate!

Oops, thought someone had said swamp coolers.

The next time I make fun of reporters, remind me of the many errors I
made on this report, even though, presumably, I know something about
the subject!

Jeff, thanks to you and the rest of Supreme Bean for letting us play
on those wonderful machines.

Jeff cleverly chose a cool, breezy weekend for his event. It was 112
yesterday in North Hollywood. I think Jeff said the swamp cooler was
in the warehouse/roasting area. If this weather continues, "dry
processed" will include sun roasting on the patio.

No need for apology. We were lucky to have such a wondeful opportunity.
You and your partners put on a superb show.
I'd gladly steam up again another time, no need to change a thing :-)
