San Diego Home Roasters will meet next Saturday Sept 2nd at 10am at Caffé
Calabria 3933 30th St. San Diego, CA 92104-3004
All are welcome but it'll probably be a thinly attended meeting as it's
Labor weekend and a lot of folks are elsewhere or tied up with visitors but
there'll be at least a couple of us attending.

Well despite the holiday weekend, 5 people turned up and we had a lively
discussion about home roasting.
The construction adjacent to Calabria is almost done with so the parking is
somewhat improved. I lucked out finding a park right across the street.
Rob, who found us via the sweet marias mailing list, has recently bought a
Gene Cafe roaster and is very enthusiatic about his, preferring it over his
previous roaster an Iroast 2.
We floated the idea of organizing a gathering to demo various brewing and
roasting methods at some future date but while there was some enthusiasm for
the concept it did not take flight. We may also try and arrange a sonofesco
demo from the local supplier sometime.
There was also some OT discussion about local sources for comb honey and a
discussion of the merits of several treo models and bluetooth headsets :-)
