Picky! Picky! Most days, a grinder [MDF] setting of #6 will result in
about 90ml of espresso in 25 seconds -- a bit long but adequate taste. A
grind at #5, however, will usually choke the machine and result in about
30ml in 25 seconds with poor taste. Tamp is at 30-40 pounds -- about all I
am capable of without standing on the portafilter. All shots after at least
20 minutes of heating time. I would say at this point that it is producing
espresso equal to but no better than my Gaggia Coffee, but it is better
looking [hey, points for that] and easier to clean up [no soupy pucks].
Haven't tried producing shots for several people yet; Silvia probably will
have the advantage for that.
