From the recent pictures I have seen, it would appear that Rancilio no
longer uses a Teflon-coated portafilter on the Silvia. Am I correct?

My Rancilio Sienna had a Teflon coated portafilter. Never understood why.
And Mark Prince's review stated -- the portafilter design and materials
[esprecially the teflon covering] causes the streams from good shots to
dance and swirl -- so I thought it might still be a problem.
