Not in the standard portafilter, but it will fit the bottomless
Rancilio PF and possibly there's another LaMarzocco PF that will fit
the Silvia (maybe with modification?), but I'm not sure about this last
part.
Me, I'm still inconsistent enough with doubles to leave the triples
alone.

A couple of months ago, I purchased a bottomless PF for my Silvia from Chris
Coffee. Yesterday I used it for the first time ... it worked great. It's a
Rancilio PF with an LM Triple Basket.

I just got the Rancilio bottomless PF and LM triple from Chris' Coffee.
The LM triple will fit Silvia just fine (why else would they sell it
for the Silvia?) but it will not fit in the standard PF. I had a couple
of disastrous attempts at using the triple, and have decided to work on
my distribution/tamp with the original double, before going on to the
triple. I also got a real tamper at the same time. In just a week I've
already seen a quality/consistency difference, at least with the
doubles.
But can anybody tell me, when doing a triple, should the ideal shot
time change from that of a double (approx. 25 seconds)? Does the grind
need adjusting? When I tried the triple, I was getting short shots,
with a solid puck but a lot of water left on top of it.
