Subject: UK/Irish suppliers - disposable espresso cups

Hi all,
I've been trying to find a supplier of disposable paper espresso cups (
3 - 4 oz ) who will mail them to me here in Ireland. Pennine do some
nice ones (http://www.pennineteaandcoffee.co.uk/caaz076.htm) but they
won't mail to Ireland.

<rant >Sometimes I hate living in this wilderness.</rant>

Does anybody know of an Irish supplier? Or a UK supplier who will sell
to Ireland and send them to me here at a less-than-extortionate rate?

Please??

I'm looking for several hundred to begin with, for my new mobile
espresso bar. It's going great so far, and most people are going for
cappuccinos and Americanos (no surprises there) so I can mostly get by,
at least for the time being. But it would be good to have a few
espresso cups on hand for the occasional more cultured customer ;-)

Thanks,
Bruce

We use the Benders hot cup range. You must have a Benders supplier in
Ireland. Failing that, we also get given plastic cups with the coffee
we use, logo'd for that coffee (Trucillo).

A quick search in Google finds:

<http://irishmerchants.com/irishmerchants/Main/food-hotCups.htm >

They list the Benders range (although not the 4/5oz espresso, but
Benders do make them).

Pennine also say on their website that they ship to Ireland.

Ah, forgive me, I've just found out about zone 3 on their shipping
page... they obviously don't understand that the Irish Republic isn't
part of the UK!!

That kind of thing could really upset some people.

Cheers,
Bruce

Thanks for that Danny - my Googling must be getting rusty :(

I'll get on to them about this tomorrow.

Hmmm, where do they say that? They say in bold letters on their front
page "We do not ship outside the UK"

Cheers,
Bruce

Thanks for taking the trouble to reply, Gary.
I had a look at your web site and sent an email as you suggested.
Hopefully this will sort me out.

Bruce

Hi Bruce,

Came accross your post and though I am concious of the need not to be
commercial on this newsgroup we can help you out. Here at Espresso
Warehouse we move several pallets a day to Ireland and have reasonable
shipping rates with free delivery for orders over =80250 and low rates
for below. Shipping is a two day service via courier. If your demand is
for americanos you may want to consider Insulair triple walled cups -
case size of 600. Go to our website www.espressowarehouse.com and send
an email attn of Conal who will reply with an answer and quote. We also
trade in =80 and can debit your credit card in same or set up an
account.

Apologies in advance to those you dont like commercial postings but I
feel that this one warrants it.

Gary

I'm interested too, but the only paper cups you list are the Insulair,
which are nearly 50% more than the current Benders Cafe Premium cups I
use (and no 10oz cup).

HI Danny,

Good to finally communicate with you - your fame is widespread even
making it onto coffee geek podcasts.

We do single walled cups also in a generic design that we call script.
Sorry we dont do 10oz but stick to the standard 8/12/16oz and are even
introducing an Insulair 20oz in ober - with the larger size you need
the cup strength. Email Conal as above and we will send you some
samples.

I hope business is good with you!

Regards

Gary
