Upgrade complete. pressurestat in the trash. Switch from optimized brew mode to 'HX' mode is accomplished in 1 minute,15 seconds. TC probe in boiler amazingly responsive End result: 1) NO flushing needed in 'brew' mode and superb tunable esprsso production with NO flushing. 2) Full power 'HX' with more accurate control over pressures, and NO clicking, clacking etc. The QuickMill is a super machine, quality of fit and finish second to none. ~~~ now even better. thanx, C. the TC placement low in the boiler allows very for very close tracking of the set point. The owner should have it late next week. I'm waiting for his comments! dave 137 Cordovero wrote: > Very cool news, Dave. Sometimes I get the impression you like to create a little chaos just to see how it spins out of control. Your quite the needler. You were pretty criticle of expobars products why are you so high on Quickmill? Just curious. I'll watch the flood of encouraging responses to your post. Just seems like an irrelevence iro >the commercial advertiser's product. Don't know about other HX pid10t's but better foam is produced here when starting with ~1.2bar/~250F than with ~0.6bar/~234F, normal shot pulling SV temp. When making frufru, crank SV temp to ~250F and steaming is much easier, always starting with the same pressure... The above is what I understood "2) Full power 'HX' with more accurate control over pressures" to mean.
