Subject: autofill question
|
I am in the process of rebuilding a aurora 1gr HX vibe machine. The supply to the autofill solenoid is off a tee after the pump. Is this usual? Can the boiler fill like this without the pump running? Should I replumb so that the solenoid feed is before the pump input? FWIW, the pump is a 70watt fluid-o-tech if this makes any difference. Another quirk the machine has is that the sirai pstat is fed from a fitting below the waterline. All looks factory but I hadn't seen it like this before. cheers Paul

The switch works by sensing pressure from a fluid. It makes no difference if that fluid is a gas or liquid. Granted, there are compatibility issues with materials, but the difference between water and water vapor is insignificant for this application. Dan
