Subject: best grinder for zero pressure espresso?

Hi,

I removed the spring from my the Starbucks Barista espresso machine
portafiler, making it a zero-pressure machine. I also have a Barista
burr grinder, but it wasn't designed to grind beans finely enough for a
zero-pressure unit. Can someone recommend a more suitable grinder?
I'm looking for the same type of unit where you can set the fineness
of the grind for espresso or filter coffee (like the Barista grinder).

Thanks in advance

You mean a NON pressurized portafilter? OK.
the same grinder you'd use with any espresso machine.

May I suggest at minimum the Gaggia MDF or Rocky? Or look for a good
used version of those, there are plenty.

You might want to check out Ken's website, www.kwilson.fsnet.co.uk Has some
info on tweaking Barrister grinders, to get a finer grind adjustment..
