"Although we strive to maintain the most sanitary conditions possible
in our little coffee shop, to ensure your personal safety we pour very
hot water over all our coffee beans before serving them to you. Please
consume your beverage with care." -RG

I once told one of my friends to whom I was gifting coffee, "My home
is not the cleanest with all our pets and what have you, and I try my
best, but please pour hot water over these before using them just to
be sure."

Their reply was, "Oh, no. I am sure that your home is..." and they
stopped mid-sentence and our eyes met...
It was a Maxwell House moment. ;-)

Much as I hate to point it out because I also find
"gifting" to be "just not right," it is indeed a verb
according to both m-w.com and thefreedictionary.com...
and now that I look, even in the MW Unabridged of '82.

Next thing you know, coffee will be a verb and
"Randy will be coffeeing his dentist next month."
As one who has received a gift is a "giftee"
(according to mw), I suppose one who's been coffeed
will then be a coffeeee.

Analyzing humor is like dissecting a frog. Nobody enjoys it and the frog
generally dies as the result.

It's English, and in English, any noun can be verbed.

Yes, but verbing weirds language.

Indeed it does. And one can argue that there is a discriminable
difference between what one "can" do and what one "should" do.

Consider:

Randy was gifting his dentist some coffee.
Randy was gifting his dentist with some coffee.
Randy was giving his dentist some coffee.

Which is the most straightforward?

Perhaps Randy was just fellowshipping with his dentist and gifting him
with coffee was a nice way to respond to being gently and painlessly
fillinged.
