Hi, "Bob", thank you for the questions.

> I'm considering an upgrade from my current Gaggia Coffee. I'm a low volume user (3 shots on weekend mornings and occasional entertaining) so I'm leaning towards a single boiler machine, but I'm very interested in precise temperature stability and control. Having read very positive reviews of the Isomac Zaffiro for pure espresso,

I will NOT work on Isomac -- due to severe quality problems

> I'm considering a Quickmill Alexia with PID. Your price on E-Bay seems like a very good deal.

It is! sold 1 already, to an Italian guy! in 'New Yourk'!

> Since this is a fairly new unit I haven't heard many first-hand reviews. Could you offer any opinions regarding the temperature stability and pure espresso quality of your PID'ed Quickmill Alexia versus other machines,

Better than "pid" silvias -- done about 120 of those.
Much larger boiler,
1400 watt heater v. 800 watt,
boiler insulated
Thermowell integrated into boiler for superior temperature sense.

I despise HX. Owned one -- hated it every minute! -- Look at the
people who are pulling the hx pressurestats and installing pids.

> I have a sense that this might be the best pure espresso machine configuration available, except for a dual boiler (S1, Brewtus or G3) which I can't really justify. --[leave out brutus and you'll have a great wish list] -- I'm a CoffeGeek lurker and I've been following the discussions for about a year now. There just doesn't seem to be much info available on single boiler, E61 temperature controlled machines.

There just are not that many! Chris and I saw a good opening in the
market. for those who enjoy the chrome, E61, the stainless, and the
massive construction of the Qucikmill.

> I've traded e-mails with Chris Coffee about the Alexia and Jim at 1st-line (Fiorenzato Columbina) and these seem to be the only choices right now. My upgrade isn't imminent, so I'm still gathering information. Also, do you have any idea regarding the continued availability of your PID'ed Alexia at this price?

Ends 31, then it goes to $1049.00

> I know Chris is offering special introductory pricing and seeing what PID kits go for, I know that your price is very good and may not continue for long. Hope you don't mind offering some free opinions or advise.
