Subject: gaggia nespresso automat problem
|
Any assistance with the following would be welcomed: My Gaggia Nespresso machine has suddenly stopped working. It displays the "ventilate" message on the LCD, but turning the hot water knob, as suggested in several places, does not help; the machine will squirt water several times, usually with a long pause between instances, but little more. The machine will let me descale (which I've done with the recommended chemicals) and subsequently rinse, so the water appears to be flowing through the machine. Gaggia tell me that they no longer support Nespresso, and Nespresso tell me that the machine can be fixed for a set-fee. I'd obviously avoid this if possible. Is there anything else I can try? I've seen a suggestion elsewhere (which may not relate to this machine) that there may be a "pressure reset switch" or similar inside the machine. Any help would be welcomed and appreciated. Richard
