It's big. Actually, it's not, but it's 16kg and 20", but looks taller
due to the large body and squat hopper (which still holds well over
1kg). See:

<http://www.danny.mcnulty.btinternet.co.uk/grinder.html >

Looks like I might have to modify the auto-fill, since it doesn't
behave like the Cimbali. It fills the doser about 1/4 - 1/3 full then
after every 6 clicks of the doser it fills again. It has a large
metal flap connected to the microswitch so I may be able to modify
that to fill earlier and stop quicker, which would actually be a
slight improvement over the Cimbali. It is also slightly awkward in
that it has a mains switch and a momentary autofill switch, so it
can't easily be used in manual mode since you have to switch the
autofill on after turning the grinder on before it grinds, and then
switch the grinder off. It has a meaty power switch (think 1940's
radio knobs)...

Grinds well, very fast (OK, so not everyone thinks that's a feature),
and came with a new set of spare burrs and is virtually unmarked.
Even got here safely since it was packed in it's original Gaggia box,
complete with unused spare grounds tray.

My Nouvo Simonelli MDXA was like that. As I always grind per shot,
I took out the switch, taped it in the ON position and hid it in
the case. Now the power switch gives me full manual control.

The 6.5 seconds mine takes leaves me unworried about overheating!

Huh! Just got back in and picked this up together
with your earlier post (and piccies)!

Yes ..it looks very nice :)) Hope the switches
and autofill are to your satisfaction.

All you need now is an ex-answer machine voice
box wired in that coughs politely at the end of
each grind and says, (in richly lugubrious Steven
Fry 'Jeeves' mode)

"Your ground coffee is ready, sir"

- or perhaps, given the pms of a new owner ;)) a
Mae West sexy gravel of,

"Dahhlink, I just want to be alone"

;))
