the cabinets arrived today. boxes and boxes throughout the house (and
kitchen). By Friday afternoon, the worker-bee's will have them
installed. Then it's on to measuring for the silestone counter, and
also lay the wood planks in the room.

Stereo is already installed (with 4 speakers, 2 flush mounted in the
wall, 2 in the ceiling); tv almost ready to mount to the wall. We
ordered a 40" Sony Bravia-- Sony (and a lot of other manufacturers)
want around $400 for the proper hardware to mount to the wall. I paid
around $150 for the next size down in tv, and have made extended
brackets to mount the tv to the hardware. Still need a couple more
screws of the proper length and hardness, then on the wall she goes.

Will have no sinks until counters arrive, expected just before
Christmas.

Okay, thanks for letting me rant about this, we're sick & !@$# tired of
not having a kitchen.

Good luck! 8;)

We started the ordeal last November. Here's my last rant status I posted in May:

Here's the final result, finished in July:

The Jura is to the far left, next to the sink; the Krups drip is around the
corner from the Jura; the Ditting is far right in the bay window; and the Gaggia
Classic is in a cabinet.
